Jane Doe

  • Trust vs. Mistrust

    Jane (6 months) has certain needs such as feedings, housing, and hygiene. The crisis of this stage is trust if all of these needs are met sufficiently vs. mistrust if they are not.
  • Initiative vs. Guilt

    Jane (3) is playing with her toys learning how to use her motor skills to accomplish tasks. The crisis of this stage is initiative if her parents praise her as she learns vs. guilt because she is making a mess of her toys.
  • Industry vs. Inferiority

    Jane (9) is learning how to play violin. The crisis of this stage would be industry if she develops confidence from her parents praise vs. inferiority if she is criticized for her ability to learn to play.
