John Dalton is said to have established the main basis for atoms. Dalton stated that all elements are composed of atoms along with atoms of two identical elements are the same.
  • JJ Thomson

    JJ Thomson

Thomson used his Plum Pudding model to convey that atom were an area full of postive charge with electrons floating around.
  • Ernest Rutherford

    Ernest Rutherford

Rutherford conducted an expirement which lead to the conclusion that the atom in fact was not positively charged as a whole but there were positively charged particles located in the centre of the atom with electrons floating around the outside.
  • Neil Bohr

    Neil Bohr

Bohr proposed that electrons always moved in circular orbits, while the protons were in the nucleus.
  • Schrödinger

    Schrödinger

Schrödinger used mathematical equations to describe the chances of finding an electron in a certain place.
