    kicked off the rise of extremism. an unfortante series of events that lead to the stock crash of the usa and the rest of the world. started by a series of tariffs in 1929 (similar to the tariffs now)

    japan invaded manchuria china appealed to the league. this cause the league to investigate japans actions in manchuria. the conclusion of the instigation told japan to leave they said heck nahhh and left the league. this was a hamulating failure to the league and set in motion its failure.

    A conference from the league to promote disarmament. this was ultimately a failure for the fact that german lef the conference. they claimed it was because france wouldn't follow disarmament and that they felt as if it was unfair.
  • hitler appointed chancellor

    this is a significant example of the rise of extremism. after ww1 his policies werent popluar and he was set aside but after the great depression he became insanely popular again and was appointed chancellor. this would lead to ww2 lead to the failure of the league as he pulled out germany from the league

    was the start of close relations between italy and germany after the stresa front failled. italy and germany both sent troops to support the nationalist so they could have another facist country. another huge failure of the league and showed why as france and britain put their wants over the league making the league do nothing saying there was no international intervention in spain during the war.

    huge example of appeasament. france and briatian did nothing as germany remilitarzed actually britain sympathized with germany. this proved to germany that france and germany wouldnt go to war to protect the treaty of versaillies

    was the big moment when italy and germany came together. this eventually became a military pact called the pact of steel. was a huge concern as the 2 facist nations came together

    biggest example of appeasement. germany said they wanted the sudetland and france and britian said sure sure. jusr promiseeeee you wont take the rest of czechslovika. germany took the rest

    was the thing that lead to ww2. as hitler showed growing intrest in taking poland demanding danzig and the polish corridor. france and britian plegeded to defend poland

    the very start of ww2. after the guarentee was signed it was war to invade poland. and hitler tried to justify his ivasion by satgig an invasion from poland in germany
