The Making of Central Park
In the 1840s Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux Proposed the idea of making a park in the middle of Manhattan. So, they made a design and got construction going around 1857. In 1858, the park decided to open its first section to the public and it was called The Lake. And ever since then, they kept on adding section after section to make the Central Park in New York City as we know today. -
