A minor expedition group led by Albanus would sent by the Caesar to conquer the area. The expedition force would face grueling resistance by locals for decades, but by the 2190s, expedition would have a hold in Kingsville Texas. However by the time that occurred, the Caesar was dead and the legion fractured among petty warlords. Albanus would retreat most of his force to try to attempt his own try at conquering the legion. The remnant force would migrate eastward and found Apoxus.

Soterim's heir, Soterismophos, would lead an expedition force into the lands once more. However, a new foe emerged in the area, the Altermites. The Altermites have raided and subjugated the many tribes and settlements around thanks to their warrior spirit and ruthlessness.

The establishment would be officially settled in 2311. Soterisnople and Apoxus would be fortified by the Herculean wall. Most of the residents were soldiers, however a few of them were free slaves and nomads.
