    National blue and corn gold adopted as official colors.

    First official dress uniform was adopted, dark blue shirt, blue or white pants, a blue cap and yellow tie.

    Blue corfuory jacket adopted as official dress.

    Active FFA membership exceeded 100,000 members.
  • 1950

    President Harry Truman granted a Federal Charter to FFA.
  • 1965

    New Farmers of America Merges with the Future Farmers of America.
  • 1969

    FFA opens membership to girls.
  • 1986

    First Agriscience Teachaer of the Year Award given.
  • 1988

    Seventh and eighth grade students are allowed to become FFA members.
  • 2005

    FFA Foundation breaks the $10 million mark in rasising money for FFA programs and services.
