In September 1896 F. Scott Fitzgerald was born in Minnesota. -
First Story
At 13 years old he published his first story in the school newspaper at the St. Paul Academy. -

While attending Princeton he wrote a lot of musicals and published works in the Princeton Tiger Humor Magazine. -
War
Since he focused so much on writing his academics suffered and because of that he had to drop out of Princeton. Then he joined the war but never went over seas. -
His wife
While in the war he meet his wife, however she wouldn't commit to him unless she was sure he has enough money to support her. -
Discharged
Fitzgerald got discharged from the army some time in 1919. He then left to go to New York City. -
Marriage
Only a week after "The Great Gatsby" was publish he felt confident enough to ask Zelda to marry him. -

About a year after he moved to New York he published his first novel, "This Side of Paradise" -

A year after he asked Zelda to marry him they had a daughter, Frances Scott "Scottie" Fitzgerald. -

In 1924 he decided to move to France as a way to give him new inspiration. He hoped this would spark some creativity with his writing. -

In 1937 he came to Hollywood to write screenplays as a quick and easy way to make money. He hoped this would get him enough money so he could leave town again and continue writing. -

Through his life he wrote around 178 stories, he published them in the Saturday evening post. This helped with finances so he could write his novels. -
His last novel
He was halfway through writing a novel called "The Last Tycoon" when he died from a heart attack.
