    Britain responded to the Boston Tea Party by placing the Intolerable acts on colonists; on October 26th, 1774. This ruling was stated all over the colonies, and this was because Britain was loosing hold on the colonies.

    Lexington and Concord was one of the first recorded battles in history. This occured April 18th, 1775. It isn't recorded who fired first. Tensions rose, so battle seemed to be a logical answer at the time.

    The Continental Congress met agian to discuss military and govermental issues in May of 1776. They met in Independence Hall. This occured because battles became worse are increasingly deadly.

    Decleration of Independence
    The Decleration of Independence was signed on July 4th, 1776. This was singed for Independence from Britain and America's sepration from Britain. Thomas Jefferson created the document and other congress members agreed upon it.
