In elementary school we would visit the library and practice our typing skills using a program that reinforced proper hand position and our progress was saved on a floppy disk. -
In middle school we would visit the library which also had the computer lab. The librarian would assist us in researching for projects and navigating the digital library catalogue. -
8th Grade was the first year we were required to type our papers for final draft turn in. -
In class to contribute, particularly in Math, we would go to the front of the room and solve the problem on the overhead projector for the class to see. -
In high school we began using the internet (as well as hard copy resources from the library) for our research projects
