    Ipads

iPads were first introduced in our math and English classes. Using iPads for the first time was exciting because we used apps with visuals and avatars that made it fun to learn our lessons. Every student got an iPad, making it easier for students to access and engage in online learning.
  • ChromeBooks

    ChromeBooks

In middle school, I got my first Chromebook. I know many students like me were so excited to have our technology that we could customize, and use at home to continue our learning. Having the Chromebook allowed a lot of accessibility to students to be more adaptive with their learning. The more online resources we had the faster and easier it was to keep our education up to date. The Chromebook allowed everyone to keep in touch, turn assignments in, and help with immersive learning.
  • Kahoot

    Kahoot

Kahoot was another gamification-type app that was accessed through our phones or any mobile device. There was a teacher and student screen where we had a scoreboard and points. When you get answers right your avatar moves higher up on the leader board, and you get more points. This platform was another good way for students to study and learn the classroom material.

Textbooks were finally put onto the internet for students to access. The smartbooks allow students to improve their literacy skills through their website. The E-book was created so that students could study smarter and on the go, so they could always have access to their textbooks.
  • Google Classroom

    Google Classroom

My teacher was able to make her module and organize a class plan for the week for us. We were able to complete and turn in assignments to her and also get her feedback on our work through the app. She would explain a lesson. Google Classroom helps keep the classroom more manageable and makes it easier for students to also go at their own pace to get a better understanding of the day's lesson.

When Quizlet Live was introduced, The way the website was put together was so you were put into different groups each round. You and your group are to answer the 10 questions without getting one wrong, or your avatar won't move forward. The first team that gets their avatar across the screen wins the round. it was the most engaging way to study for students. The collaborative learning aspect also made the game interesting because you got help from other students.
  • Zoom

    Zoom

When the Pandemic happened students still needed to keep up with their education, but we weren't able to be present at school due to the virus. Zoom became popular to teachers and students so they could still keep in touch and continue their education through virtual classrooms. Zoom had many features that allowed teachers to replicate a classroom. From breakout rooms to having features where students could interact with the class through emojis or communicate in the text box.
