    My first recollection of a book or at least one I was interested in, it was of a story book about how it is being a firefighter and watching them.

    In kindergarten everytime at library I picked up "Piggy Elephant" which introduced me to similar cute books like if you give a mouse a cookie and pigeon book. These books are so sweet and at the time I felt so smart saying my favorite author was Mo Willems since he produced all those books (besides the mouse one).

    During this time I was reading books which either talked about human anatomy, animal facts, or wordly facts. These taught me I could learn more about our world by reading.

    I became a huge fan of this book series and its style, it taught me action packed adventures while following a story which needs some background knowledge

    This book took me away from the usual picture books I was used to and I began reading chapter books and following a more complicated story.

    Books to Movies Movies from Books

    This was a huge revelation finding out books have movies and movies come from books. I learned to see different viewpoints of how books are interpreted from how I interpret them. It made me more interested in reading the books that had movies about them!

    I can not for the life of me find the reading but it showed me text can have historical context and books don't always have to be fiction readings.

    During this time it was COVID lockdown and in my 10th grade english class we were reading a lot of poems. During this time I realized I don't really like poems because they don't understand maybe I can give it a try again but for now I steer clear of them.

    In 12th grade I read Macbeth for the first time surrounded by a bunch of gothic/dark themed novels which was interesting to see how the theme of a story changes it and makes it just that certain type of theme (Dark, eerie, some fiction themes but also being inspired by real life settings etc.
