    Law that provided a source of federal aid for K-12, ensured that students with disabilities are included in state systems.

    PARC v. Pennsylvania & Mills v. Board of Education

    Court cases at established FAPE (Free, appropriate public education) for students with disabilities.
  • Education for All Handicapped Children Act

    Law that guaranteed students with not only FAPE, but LRE (Least Restrictive Environment) and IEP's (Individualized Education Program) ensuring families involvement.
  • Early Intervention Amendments

    Expanded educational services to include infants and toddlers with disabilities in the name of early intervention.
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

    Law that prohibited people with disabilities from being discriminated against in school, amongst other public spaces.
  • Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)

    EAHCA was renamed and expanded to include transition services and added autism and TBI as categories.

    Goal was to increase student success through standardizes testing. Specifically targeting improvements for students with disabilities amongst other minority groups.
