In 1906, Husserl developed the technique epoche, also known as bracketing. As this was introduced in Ideas, Husserl was found to have created two versions of "epoche", universal epoche and local epoche. Local epoche is first-person point of view and universal epoche is from the external worlds view. The sole meaning of it is to be able to suspend judgement, despite biases and/or known information to a particular object.
