    Ipads

    1.5 million Ipads were provided to schools in 2012. Ipads changed schools by allowing students and teachers to access certain books online instead of having to have a hard copy book. It also allowed students to access information on google/safari, instead of having to find certain information in books or newspapers. Ipads also allowed students to be able to create videos of themselves for people to watch and learn in any activity the school was teaching.
  • Interactive Apps (Kahoot)

    Interactive Apps (Kahoot)

    Interactive apps like kahoot allowed students to engage and participate in a fun competitive learning game that challenged students to use their brain at a fast pace. It also allowed students to create study guides so that they can learn and read on their own time, and create flashcards to review for any tests or quizzes coming up. Kahoot also allowed teachers to create many study guides, assignments, and games for kids to review for any material they are going over.

    Virtual Reality was a good tool classroom used because it allowed students to virtually see things through a little goggled screen instead of actually having to go to the place because the places could be too far or out of reach. I remember in high school in my science class, my teacher used a VR and showed us what the solar system looked like. It actually looked like I was in space, and it was cool

    AI

    AI is a game changer because it can help students get their information faster. AI can also help improve students with their languages and how they say certain things. It can over rely information but you can pick out the main points it gives you, and gain information from that. AI can also be known as “efficient tutoring”, because they can help students with whatever they are struggling with and provide knowledge for them to work on.

    CamCorders

    Camcorders were used a lot in classrooms mainly to monitor students' screens for testing. To make sure students weren't cheating, camcorders were used to monitor students' movements in person, and can see their screen if they go on another site, they can stop it automatically. You can also use camcorders to record assignments if that is the requirement and can record from home.
  • Ebooks

    Ebooks were essential when it came to educational technology because it allowed students to gain access to textbooks online, instead of having a paper copy that they can lose easily. E-books allowed students to download a copy so that they can access it at any time, and also had an audio option for Siri to read to them. We also have options to search chapters easier, look up keys words in books, create bookmarks, and many more
  • Smartphones

    Smartphones

    Smartphones were being used more to have student's complete polls and other engaging activities. Students even used phones to look up information as well as take pictures of things that were presented in the class for them to use later. Codes and links were also being accessed by phones to be scanned to access certain activities and assignments.
  • Zoom

    Zoom

    Zoom was used in businesses a lot until COVID-19 came around. When this pandemic hit, a lot of schools went to the zoom option from home so that students can connect and show their faces from home, while having audio still and being able to learn from home. Students were allowed to see their teachers point of views along with classmates, and be able to hear and see ideas virtually. Zoom also had an option
