In 3rd grade, I really struggled to read. I did not enjoy reading. I was made to read a huge book that I did not understand. I was scared about what my parents ended up walking me through the book

In 5th grade, I had a reading intensive geography class. This class sparked my interests for reading again.I started reading geography books that fascinated me.

My dad made me read and write a book called the power of positive thinking. Writing a whole book from start to finish really improved my writing skills. It also made me appreciate what the authors ideas were when he was writing the book

During the summer of 2023, I re visited the diary of a wimpy kid series. I ended up reading the whole series again and now, at a much older age I understood the books way more than when I read them 3 years ago. I also wrote short 5 page stories that were like the diary of the wimpy kid because of how much I loved it.

During my freshman year, my parents were really worried about how my writing looked and whether it was going to be good enough for high school and so they took it up on themselves to help me make my handwriting more visible by helping me practice on a day to day basis.

As of today, I make sure to read 1 article every 3 days and improve upon my vocabulary. 1 article every 3 days is not a lot but I'm hoping it will compound over a long period of time
