    Hiroshima and Nagasaki were two Japanese cities that were bombed by the US at the end of world war two. The US was predicting an invasion of the Japanese so they tried to wipe out most of their military.

    This was a policy made to counter Soviet geopolitical expansion during the cold war. This policy provided support for nations threatened by Soviet Communism.

    This treaty was created to bring greater collective security to Western Europe and also to protect the nations from Communism.

    The Marshall plan was made to provide help to countries affected by world war two, get rid of trade barriers to promote modern industry, and also prevent the spread of communism.

    At this time, The Soviet Union blocked off railroads, road and canal access to the parts of Berlin under Western control. Western allies then airlifted supplies to the people in these sections of Berlin.

    During the Cuban missile crisis, the leaders of the US and the Soviet Union were fighting over the installation of nuclear weapons in Cuba. Eventually both the US and the Soviet Union agreed to keep those dang missiles away from Cuba so no one was hurt and everyone was chill.

    This treaty that was signed by several large nuclear powers to agree to cooperate in the spread of nuclear weapons, It made people more aware of the consequences of nuclear destruction.

    This was an internal conflict Anti-communist Afghan Muslims and their Communist government, The Soviet union jumped in and started enforcing communism but there was a huge anti-communist population so obviously they rebelled.

    The spokesmen for East Berlins Communist Party announced there would be a change in the relations with the West, there for the wall was removed and people celebrated.
