    The Russian Communist Revolution began in March 8, 1917 when the Bolshevik party overthrew the Russian government. Then after the revolution, Vladimir Lenin, overthrew the Bolsheviks and created the beginning of communistic Russia.

    Treaty of Versailles
    The Treaty of Versailles was the treaty that ended WWI. It made Germany pay for the entire war, and it also made them take all the blame for WWI. U.S. President Woodrow Wilson created the League Of Nations in the Treaty, but the U.S. was never apart of it because the treaty was never ratified.

    After WW1, the League of Nations was formed to stop another war from happening. But the U.S didn't enter thus creating a little disagreement between the U.S and the Soviet Union.

    The Yalta Conference helped lead to the Cold War by giving the Soviet Union control over Eastern Europe. At the conference, the Soviet Union was given the right to control Eastern Europe, this led to the Cold War because it made the West feel that the USSR was bent on expanding communism.

    The Truman Doctrine's purpose was to counter the spreading of communism throughout Eastern Europe. It implied U.S. support to any nation threatened by communism. It also led to the formation of the NATO in 1949.

    Revolution in China when Communist leader Mao Zedong, faced off against, the Republic of China leader Chaing Kai Shek, which ultimately culminated to the Communists victory. This ties in with the Cold War because the Soviet Union, was allies with the Chinese, and led to the two helping each other out.

The conflict between the states turned into a war when North Korea tried to invade South Korea to unify the two and make a unified Communist country. Western Germany became angry at the U.S. for not helping, but JFK made sure West Germany knew that the U.S. was still with them by saying this famous quote, “A wall is a hell of a lot better than a war”. In 1989 the communist governments where falling in east.
