    First Habitants In Canada

    The first Canadians were the ancestors of the Amerindians who arrived across the Bering Strait before 20,000 BC. During the last glaciations of the Pleistocene, around 8000 BC.

  • French Colonization

    The colonization of Canada was led by the French people (1608) with the foundation of Quebec.

  • British Colonization

    The British also colonized the region, especially after the Seven Years' War (1756-1763)

  • Independate state

    Canada first joined the British Commonwealth as an independent state in 1931
