    Preschool (3-5 years) Initiative vs. Guilt
    Erik Erikson’s timeline in preschool is about the freedom to play, explore, and be adventurous about the world. Angelina made a lot of friends and connected with many different girls at recess playing games like dress up and house. It was at this age that Angelina learned of her parents expectations for being a women. Her parents were kind and understanding when she made mistakes. She felt supported in her home and school environment.
  • Young Adulthood (18-40 years) Intimacy vs. Isolation

    Young Adulthood (18-40 years) Intimacy vs. Isolation
    Angelina begins a romantic relationship with another woman which her parents are not supportive of. She lives at home with her parents and her parents forbid her from seeing her girlfriend which creates a lot of tension and leads her to isolate from the world. One outcome of Eriksons 6th stage is developing an identity crisis from the conflicting beliefs and values and how an individual feels inside.
  • Late Adulthood (65+ years) Integrity vs. Despair

    Late Adulthood (65+ years) Integrity vs. Despair
    Erikson's final stage involves the conflict between the integrity of a satisfying life or the despair form the choices made in ones life. Angelina ended up having a private relationship with a woman for years before she passed. She became bitter in her old age with regrets on the life she wasn’t able to have when she was younger.
