It is not yet light, but Cornelia gets up and walks though the country house. -
Omnēs iam surgunt et labōrāre parant quod Cornēlium et Aurēliam timent.
Now they all get up nd prepare to work because they fear Cornelia and Aurelia. -
Servī et ancillae nunc strēnuē labōrant.
The slaves and slave-women are now working strenuously. -
Cornēlius petit Davum quī in hortō est.
Cornelius seeks Davus who is in the garden. -
Multī servī mox in agrōs currunt ubi strēnuē laborant.
Soon many slaves run in the fields where they strenuously work. -
Cornēlia ancillam, nōmine Syram, observant quae vīllam purgat et alteram, nomine Thressam, quae cibum coquere parat.
Cornelia observes a slave-woman, called Syra, because she cleans the house and another, called Thressa, because she prepares to cook food.
