Macbeth is promised to be Thane of Glamis but is made Kind of Cawdor. In this scene Macbeth also says the prophesy is neither good nor bad, which is the first clue that he is considering murdering Duncan.

Macbeth pledges his loyalty to Duncan and his children. BUT once he finds out one of Duncan's children is in line for the crown, he goes back on his word and starts to plan a murder.

Macbeth gives a big speech about being said that Duncan is dead. He admits to killing the gaurds in a rage because of his love for the King. This got him out of the gaurds telling on him for the murder of Duncan.

This is critical for Macbeth because he is slowly losing his reasoning for everything. He is also told that Fleance was killed, he escaped.

Macbeth has sent murderers to kill Macduff's entire family. Macduff fights back.

Macbeth sees the witches again. The Witches warn Macbeth.

Lady Macbeth's guilt starts to hit her, and all the sudden she dies.
