  • Early Life and Education

    Kenneth Craik was an English philosopher. Craik was born on March 29, 1914. Kenneth Craik lived his life in Edinburg and went to study philosophy at the University of Edinburgh. In 1940, he then went on to receive his doctorate from Cambridge University. Kennth Craik came to be known as one of the first cognitive philosophers.
  • First Book Published

    Kenneth Craik published his first book in 1943. This book was called “The Nature of Explanation”. This book was based on the idea that people’s brains used events they have already experienced in order to try and predict how future events would turn out.     Kenneth Craik died tragically at the young age of 31. On May 7, 1945 he was riding his bicycle when a car struck him and Craik died the following day at the hospital.
