    Biography
    Locke was born on 29 August 1632 in a small cottage in Wrington, England. In 1647 he was sent to the prestigious Westminster School in London. He obtained a bachelor's degree in 1656, a master's degree in 1658 and a bachelor of medicine in 1664. In 1667 he moved into Shaftesbury's home in London to serve as Lord Ashley's personal physician. Shaftesbury had great influence on Locke's political ideas and got him involved in politics.
