At the University of Vienna Schlick organized individuals into philosophical and scientific spheres. He was then asked to lead a group of philosophers and scientists to discuss philosophical topics in science. This group consisted of many well known philosophers and scientists today. Vienna Circle
The group of philosophers and scientists that meet every Thursday night was initially called Ernst Mach Association but became known as the Vienna Circle. They became involved in Wittgenstein’s book about a logical theory of symbolism and a theory of language. Schlick and circle members met with Wittgenstein and encouraged him to come back to philosophy. -
Schlick’s Murder
