Ignatius Is Born
Ignatius was believedto be born sometime before October 23rd in the year 1491. He was born in the Basque Region of Spain, and was the youngest of 13 children. He was born and Baptised under the name Inigo Lopez. -

Ignatius Becomes a Soldier
Ignatius was involved in multiple battles without sustaining any serious injury. -

Ignatius recovers
Ignatius begins to change his lifestyle. He leaves his uniform behind and begins living life by begging and praying. -

French Storm Pamplona; Ignatius Injured
Ignatius refuses to give up Pamplona despite their low odds of success. He sustains a cannonball injury to the legs, and undergoes many painful surgical procedures. While he is healing, he reads books on the life of Jesus and the saints. -

Ignatius goes on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem
He goes on a path of self denial and sacrifice. He is not permitted to stay in Jerusalem and returns to Spain. People begin to see his beliefs and his lifestyle and become followers. -

Ignatius finishes the Spiritual Excericises
200 pages spiritual excercises to be practiced over 28-30 days. He began writing them in 1522. -
