Did the Death of Bradford's wife affect his outlook on life?
William Bradford was a highly based religious man, and except for in ancient incan and aztec societies, most religions view suicide as an abominination. Although Bradford probably had a hint, he is ultimately not sure if his wife's death was an acident or not. Not knowing this fact probably made it even harder for Bradford to overcome the pain and sorrow of this tragic event. Thus, Bradford blocked out the memory of his wife.
