12/03/1967 | First Heart Transplant | Performed by South African surgeon Christiaan Barnard the operation was a success but the patient died 18 days after the operation because the medication he was given did not allow his immune system to fight back against the pneumonia. |

09/05/1972 | Terrorist attack Olympic games | Eight members of the Pakistan Terrorist organization snuck into the Israeli Housing building for their athletes; they killed to and took nine as hostages. The German officials tried to setup an official rescue attempt, but it failed and resulted in all nine of the hostages being killed. |
