Images Brown vs Board of Education The Plaintiffs, various African-American children , were denied admission to schools attended by white children under laws that permitted or required segregation by race. The childrn sued, trying to get prmission for admission to public schools in their communities on a nonsegregated basis.
Ruby brdges Road to stopping segregation: Ruby Bridges November 14th, 1960 was the first day in New Orleans that schools would be intergrated. Ruby Bridges and five other children were permitted to go to all white schools. Ruby Bridges attended William Frantz Elementary school.
