Timeline Microchip Invention of the Microchip On this day in 1958, Jack Kilby and Robert Noyce created the microchip. This was an important invention in technology; the microchip would help manufacturers create better quality devices.
Timeline Cassette Tape The cassette tape was invented in 1962 by Philips, and this device provided a simple way for listeners to hear and access their music and audio files.

Timeline Cell Phone On this day in 1973, Martin Cooper created the cell phone. This invention would make it possible for individuals to make and receive phone calls outside of their homes.
