06/04/1961	Khrushchev	created a new crisis when he reissued his threat to sign a separate peace treaty with East Germany
06/15/1961	2 months before the Berlin wall started to be built	First Secretary of the Socialist Unity Party and Staatsrat chairman Walter Ulbricht stated "No one has the intention to erect a wall."
07/25/1961	President John F. Kennedy	Makes a speech about the NATO countries.
