01/26/1788	Feral Pig	The feral pig was brought into Australia by early settlers for food. It now compeates with native animals for food and hence endangers these animals.To try to slow down it's increasing numbers hunters shoot this feral aminal.
01/26/1788	House Mouse	The House Mouse was brought ,accidently,in to Australia in 1788 by European settlers.This mouse has spread all over Australia.They spread easily as the female can produce eight young when it is only 6 weeks old. They can spread disease and compete with native animals for food. Poisons and traps are used to try to solve this problem.
12/31/1840	Arabian Camel	Where instroduced over 150 years ago. It was brought for carrying loads. It is now used for transport to carry tourists, some are being sold to other countries and numbers are culled.Native animals suffer if numbers are not controled as these feral animals eat their food supply.
12/31/1840	Red Fox	By the end of 1840, the red fox was introduced to Australia mainly for hunting purposes.People hunted the fox on horse back with packs of dogs. Foxes are found in every part of Australia except Tasmania. They live in parks beside rivers where they prey on small animals.Due to this many animals, such as the bilby, the bandicoot and the quoll, are close to extinction.
04/23/1850	Starling	The Starling came from Europe and was brought to Australia in the 1850's, and by 1860's had been released in Melbourne. It competes with native birds for food and nesting areas .
12/31/1935	Cane Toad	By the end of 1935 the cane toad had been introduced to address the Cane Beetle problem, they damaged suger cane. They were originaly brought into Australia from Brazil and are also found in North eastern Australia. They caused problems such as preying on native bees and poisoning animals.No effective solution has been found.
