06/01/1995	Advantage Version 3.5 Released	Advantage, called Advantage Xbase Server, version 3.5 is released
12/15/1995	Advantage Version 4.0 Released	Advantage Database Server 4.0 Released. Includes the first ODBC driver and Visual Objects Client
09/02/1996	Advantage Version 4.21 Released	Advantage Database Server version 4.21 released. Included the first Windows NT version, ODBC 1.40 and VO Client 1.51
02/03/1997	Advantage NT Version 4.21 Released	Advantage Database Server version 4.21 for Windows NT released. This was the first version of Advantage for the Windows platform
02/11/1997	Advantage Internet Server Released	A separate application called Advantage Internet Server (AIS) is released. Allowed users to connect to Advantage securely over the internet. This functionality was included in the server in version 6.0
09/01/1997	Advantage Client Engine Released	Initial release of the Advantage Client Engine and Windows Comm layer. This included support for Delphi 3 with the TAdsTable component.
11/24/1997	Advantage Version 4.4a Released	Advantage version 4.4a is released to address Y2K issues
01/14/1998	Advantage Version 4.5 Released	Advantage version 4.5 released, included updates for all clients and servers.

07/31/1998	Advantage 5.1 Released	Advantage version 5.1 released the Advantage Proprietary Data format (ADT Tables) was introduced.

01/18/2000	Crystal Reports Driver Released	The first native Crystal Reports Driver for Advantage.
03/23/2000	Version 5.7 Released	Many SQL improvements including better handling of DBF deleted records and the LIKE operator.
04/20/2000	StreamlineSQL ODBC Driver	The first release of the Advantage ODBC driver which used the StreamlineSQL engine in the server. Previous versions of the ODBC driver used a 3rd party SQL parser.
01/15/2001	6.0 Beta	6.0 Beta available for developers to download
03/02/2001	Advantage 6.0 Release	The release of Advantage 6.0 this was the first verion of the Advantage Data Dictionary. Features included: Support for files >4GB, Referential Integrity, Constraints, Permissions, Default Field Values, Filter Improvements and many SQL Enhancement.
09/19/2001	Advantage 6.1 Release	Release of Advantage version 6.1 feature enhancements included: Linux version, Integration of Internet connecivity, Table and Index autocreate and many SQL enhancements.
09/28/2001	Advantage 6.11 Release	A minor upgrade which addressed some specific issues with the original 6.1 release. This release replaced version 6.1.
09/26/2002	Advantage 6.2 Released	Advantage version 6.2 is officially released features enhancements include: COM support for AEPs, Additional User permissions, Improved progress callback and many SQL enhancements.
10/18/2002	BORCON 2002	Advantage is a gold sponsor at BORCON
09/22/2003	Advantage 7.0 Released	Advantage 7.0 released features include: Triggers, Full Text Search, Communication Compression, JDBC driver, Money data type and many SQL enhancements.
10/29/2003	Advantage Database Server The Official Guide	The first book on Advantage Database Server written by Cary Jensen and Loy Anderson.
11/01/2003	Borcon 2003	Advantage was a Silver Sponsor for the event.
05/21/2004	Advantage 7.1 Beta	Advantage 7.1 beta made available for download to developers.
07/19/2004	Advantage 7.1 Released	Advantage version 7.1 is officially released. Features include: SQL Execution Plan, SQL Temporary tables, Case Insensitive field type, Updateable Dictionary links and Disabling of Database logins
09/09/2005	Advantage 8.0 Beta Available	The beta version of Advantage 8.0 is available to developers for testing.
10/26/2005	Sybase Aquires Extended Systems	The acquisition of Extended Systems Inc. by Sybase, Inc. was successfully completed. Extended Systems is now a member of iAnywhere Solutions, Inc. a Sybase subsidiary.
11/08/2005	Advantage 8.0 Released	Advantage Database Server version 8.0 is released. Includes: SQL Scripting, Online Backup, Replication, Improved performance and Advantage Data Arcitect gets a new look.
08/03/2006	Advantage 8.1 Beta	Advantage version 8.1 beta available for download.
08/06/2006	Sybase TechWave 2006	Advantage provides a track for the first time at the Sybase Users Conference
10/10/2006	Advantage version 8.1 Released	Advantage 8.1 oficially released which included several feature enhancements including; User Defined Functions, TCP/IP communication, Increased SQL Performance and Vertical Filtering for Replication.
12/14/2006	Advantage Database Server A Developers Guide	The second Advantage book written by Cary Jensen and Loy Anderson is released. The book covers Advantage version 8.1
08/05/2007	Sybase TechWave	Advantage provides a track at the Sybase user conference in Las Vegas
12/04/2007	Advantage 9.0 Beta	The Advantage version 9.0 beta is available to developers.
03/18/2008	Advantage Version 9.0 Released	Advantage Database Server version 9.0 is released. Includes support for Visual FoxPro 9, Notifications, SQL Debugging and a native 64bit server.
