Nicolaus Copernicus
Nicolaus was the first person to put the sun in the center of the universe. Before him people beleived the universe was geocentric but he figured out it was heliocentric. Nicolaus was also a great mathematician scientist and a religous man. -
Francis Bacon
Francis bacon heard of the scientific method and he decided to popularise it and make it an important part of science. He beleived in the power of true knowledge and it helped him with his discoveries and lots of his work. The science world would not be as good as it is now without the scientific method because it shows easy steps to follow to work out any important experiment. -
Galileo Galilei
Galileo discovered many important things like inertia and other things like saturns rings and the mountains on the moon. One of his most important inventions is the telescope, he invented then perfected it and now it is popular and commonly used. He also helped invent the microscope and several other scientific tools. -
Rene Descartes
Rene was a mathemetician and came up with many advancing ways to solve problems. He created one of the first ways to use letters in math and how to plot points on a cartesan plane. He was also known for his rules of deductive reasoning and other philosophy discoveries. -
Isaac Newton
He was known for discovering gravity, calculus and the 3 laws of motion. He invented the reflecting telescope and found a new theory for light and color. He was known as the creator of modern chemistry. -
John Locke
John Locke believed in many ideas that helped the american revolution like the right of revolution. He also believed in religious toleration and natural law. He thought that without these things people were being run by an unfair government. -
Montesquieu
Montesquieu helped the revolution by coming up with the idea of separating the government into branches. He thought that with tree branches power would be equal and the branches would balance eachother out and make desicions best for the people. without his influence our government would be very different today and probably have much more unequal power than today. -
Denis Diderot
Denis Diderot wrote books about his ideas on how the world should change. Some of his biggest beliefs were about some form of democracy, slavery abolishment and social change. He also helped create many volumes of the encyclopedia witch allowed people to understand many ideas that were changed over time. -
Jean-Jacques Rousseau
Jean-Jacques Rousseau was best known for his writings on political theory and social construct. These writings helped Thomas Jefferson come up with the declaration of independence. One of his main ideas was popular sovereignty witch was the beleif that people as a whole was what gave power to the state and government. -
Voltaire
Voltaire's writings helped influence a new form of government. They did this by showing his beliefs on religion, people, freedom and freedom of speech. Voltaire not only wrote essays, he also wrote poems, dramas and pamphlets. -
James Watt
James Watt changed the industrial revolution by creating a steam engine witch helped solve many issues of the time. Some of the issues were that the people needed a more efficient and cost effective engine. Because he solved this the engines were being used in factorys like cotton mills. -
George Washington
George washington was important to the American revolution because he contributed to keeping the government and his army together. without him in charge of a army the army would have been much less sucseful at taking independance. He later became president after winning the battle and helped the government form. -

Adam Smith wrote about the cost of nations and political economics. He used it to show the people the concept of free trade. He believed that wealth was created by working people and wealth was important metals stored for important uses. -

Thomas Jefferson was a major help in drafting the decloration of independence. He also helped establish religious freedom by writing a bill. Because of how the AMerican revolution played out he expected similar results from the french revolution and helped guide people to help. -

Mozart changed how people listened to music and the style. He popularized the symphony and other forms of music. He was well known for his amazing pieces like operas and music. -
Maximillien Robespierre
Maximillien was a great part of the french revolution and helped stand up for peoples freedoms. He was the head of public saefty and had other important rules. He was known as an advocate for descriminated people to be treated better. -
Miguel Hidalgo
Miguel Hidalgo is known as the father of Mexican freedom. He is known for that because of his role in the war of independence that stopped Spanish rule in Mexico. He was influanced by the revolutions and freedom was important for him and his people. -
Simon Bolivar
Simon Bolivar was an important army leader that helped free three regions from spanish rule. He was also a prominent political ruler that helped emancipate South America from Spanish rule. He also ended slavery in all the places he ruled.
