  • Abraham Moletisane is serving time in the correctional center/reformatory for alleging in gang activity.

  • He starts out with being responsable and behaving in the reformatory

  • The first physical freedom privileges that he has offered was to leave for the free hostels

  • Afterwards he was allowed to go home for the weekends

  • Then that privilege was taken away from him because of the fight he was invovled in, caused by a statement made by his fellow gang member who called him reformed

  • He puts the gang and starts being responsable again and Elizabeth agrees to marry him

  • He finds out that his old gang are planning some trouble for him, and he decides to ask George to band them from visiting Walter at the reformatory, but George and Meenar is still worried about what there is going to happen to him after he gets out.

  • Abraham Moletisane a.k.a Spike is released from the reformatory and he moves in with his wife at his mother’s house with his sister, and he starts working at a factory.

  • The winter comes and it’s getting darker earlier and earlier for every day so his old gang of Totsie’s are waiting for him after work, so the Maneer starts being around him more often, and he starts taking precautions like: calling him at work everyday at

  • The principle of the reformatory confronts Walter to hear what he fells about Spike’s death and he shows no sign of emotions at all, which makes the principle very angry.
