04/18/1942	Doolittle's Raid	Lieutenant Colonel James Doolittle led a raid of 16 bombers over Japan, hightening spirits in America while damaging those in Japan
05/04/1942	Battle of the Coral Sea	The first time a Japanese assault was stopped. Carried out by airplanes attacking aircraft carriers
06/03/1942	The Battle of Midway	Chester Nimitz's scout planes found Japanese aircraft carriers. Dive bombers and submarines destroyed the ships with the airplanes still on board.
02/04/1945	Yalta Conference	The leaders of America, Britain and The Soviet Union meet to discuss the reorganization of post war Europe
02/19/1945	The Battle of Iwo Jima	Americans captured Iwo Jima after over a month of fighting and high casualties from heavily entrenched Japanese.
