03/16/1939	Germany Invades Czechoslovakia	Hitler Invades Czechoslovakia and occupies the country.
08/23/1939	The Soviet-Nazi PAct	Hitler and Stalin sign the Soviet-Nazi pact which is a non-aggression pact. It included the clauses for the division of Poland.
09/01/1939	The Invasion of Poland	Hitler invaded Poland and initially began the second world war.
09/03/1939	Phony War (Sitzkrieg)	The few months after Britain declared war against Germany the military saw no action. They then decided to call it the “Phony War”.
09/10/1939	Canada Enters the War	Seven days after Britain and France declared war on Nazi Germany the Parliament of Canada also declared war on Germany. It was Canada’s first independent declaration of war.
04/09/1940	The Invasion of Norway	Germany invaded Norway so they could obtain resources and ice-free harbours.
04/09/1940	The Invasion of Denmark	Denmark was a neutral country and when Dermany invaded them it was in violation of the Soviet-Nazi pact.
05/10/1940	The Invasion of Holland	Holland which had planned to be neutral throughout the war was invaded by the Nazis.

05/10/1940	The Invasion of Belgium	Much like Holland and Denmark, Belgium was neutral at the time of the war. German armed forces however still began to invade them.
05/26/1940	The miracle at Dunkirk	It was an operation in which had to do with the evacuations of soldiers from the beaches. It resulted in the rescue of many British troops.
06/22/1940	The Fall of France	Nazi Germany officially took over all of France.
07/10/1940	The Batlle of Britain	This would be considered to be the air battle for great Britain. It was an attack where aerial bombing became popular.
06/26/1941	Operation Barbarossa	Hitler led the German army to invade the Soviet Union.
12/07/1941	The attack on Pearl Harbor	It was a military strike on the U.S military base by Japan.
