06/01/2001	Formation	6 Johnny's Juniors were were chosen to become a dance support unit for Koichi Domoto (of KinKi Kids) in the NHK music program, Pop Jam. The unit became KAT-TUN, with Kamenashi Kazuya, Akanishi Jin, Taguchi Junnosuke, Tanaka Koki, Ueda Tatsuya, and Nakamaru Yuichi. (*Note: The date is not exact)
08/10/2002	Okyakusama wa Kamisama - Concert 55man Nin Ai no Request ni Kotaete!!	KAT-TUN holds their first concert called "Okyakusama wa Kamisama - Concert 55man Nin Ai no Request ni Kotaete!!" At the Tokyo International Forum. They performed to a crowd of 20,000, although 550,000 tried to get tickets. The concert footage is available on both VHS and DVD

01/15/2005	Gokusen 2	Kamenashi Kazuya and Akanishi Jin co-star in the second season of the popular drama "Gokusen". Kamenashi sings the insert song "Kizuna".
04/10/2005	Minna no Terebi	KAT-TUN members become regulars on the NTV show "Minna no Terebi". Fans who don't recall this show might remember 'Kame's vocal lesson'. Which was on Minna no Terebi. They guested until the end of the show in January 2007.
05/03/2005	KAT-TUN Live Kaizokuban	KAT-TUN releases their DVD "KAT-TUN Live Kaizokuban". Which was filmed live at Yokohama Arena on January 4, 2005. It tops the Oricon yearly chart for the best-selling DVD. At the 20th Japan Gold Disc Awards, Live Kaizokuban placed on the Music Video Of The Year list

11/02/2005	Shuji to Akira	Due to the success of "Nobuta wo Produce" Kamenashi Kazuya and Yamapi debut as the unit "Shuji to Akira" with the single "Seishun Amigo". The single became the #1 single of 2005 after only being in the charts for 2 months.

03/17/2006	Real Face at the Tokyo Dome	KAT-TUN holds a concert at the Tokyo Dome, becoming the first group to perform at the dome before debuting. (their debut was on the 22nd, 5 days later)
03/22/2006	Official Debut	KAT-TUN releases their debut single "Real Face", accompanied by an album, Best of KAT-TUN and a DVD Real Face Film. The group also went on a nationwide tour, Live of KAT-TUN "Real Face", in support of the album. Within the first week, Best of KAT-TUN, "Real Face" and Real Face Film topped all three Oricon weekly charts by selling 556,548 copies, 754,234 copies and 374,202 copies respectively. KAT-TUN holds the record for the highest weekly single debut sales.
04/07/2006	HAPPY	Taguchi Junnosuke stars in the SP drama 'HAPPY'. The theme song is "REAL FACE #1" off of the BEST OF KAT-TUN album.

10/13/2006	Akanishi hiatus	In a press conference, Akanishi Jin.announces a hiatus from the group in order to study English abroad in the United States, leaving KAT-TUN as a five-member group for six months.
12/07/2006	Bokura no Machi de	AT-TUN releases their 3rd single "Bokura no Machi de" (without Akanishi). It reportedly sold 410,103 copies and was certified as the 13th best-selling song of 2006

04/10/2007	Hanayome to Papa	Taguchi Junnosuke co-stars in the drama "Hanayome to Papa" as Miura Seiji.
04/13/2007	Tokkyu Tanaka 3 Go	Tanaka Koki stars in the drama "Tokkyu Tanaka 3 Go". The theme song is "Yorokobi no Uta" By KAT-TUN.
04/18/2007	Cartoon KAT-TUN II YOU [CD]	KAT-TUN releases their 2nd album, "Cartoon KAT-TUN II YOU". In its first week of release, Cartoon KAT-TUN II You sold 270,976 copies in Japan
04/19/2007	Return of the Akanishi	Akanishi officially returns to Japan on the 19th. There is a press conference on the 20th about his official return to KAT-TUN. Akanishi joins the rest of KAT-TUN during their tour on April 21 in Sendai for the encore.
06/06/2007	Yorokobi no Uta	KAT-TUN releases their 4th single "Yorokobi no Uta", which became KAT-TUN's fourth consecutive number 1 on the Oricon singles charts with more than 300,000 copies sold in its first week.

11/21/2007	Keep the Faith	KAT-TUN releases their 5th single "Keep the Faith". In its first week of release, "Keep the faith" debuted at number 1 with 350,863 copies sold in it's first week. It stayed on the charts for 16 weeks and was certified as the fifth best-selling single of 2007 with total reported sales of over 459,919 units by the end of its chart-run.

05/14/2008	DON'T U EVER STOP	KAT-TUN releases their 7th single. In its first week of release, the single reportedly sold over 381,672 copies and hit the top spot on Oricon's singles chart. It also debuted at number 1 on Billboard's Japan Hot 100.[3] The song's total reported sales currently stand at 447,971 copies
05/15/2008	4 days at the Tokyo Dome	On May 15, during the MC segment promoting "Don't U Ever Stop" on Music Station, Kamenashi announced that two shows had been added to their Tokyo Dome tourdates, resulting in a total of four consecutive days at the Dome. This marked a historic event in the Dome's history, as KAT-TUN became the first Japanese artist to hold four consecutive days at the stadium since it opened in 1988.
06/04/2008	Queen of Pirates [Album]	KAT-TUN's third album. In its first week of release, KAT-TUN III -Queen of Pirates- sold 240,317 copies. 09/08/2008	MOUSE PEACE	Ueda Tatsuya is the first KAT-TUN member to hold a series of solo concerts called "Mouse Peace" in September 2008. The concerts consisted entirely of songs he wrote himself.
12/03/2008	WHITE X'MAS	KAT-TUN releases their first Christmas single. The release consisted of a limited and regular edition, but both would only be sold during the holiday season. The single, with no drama tie-in and no B-side, still sold moderately well with more than 250,000 copies sold in its first week.

01/23/2009	Lots of days at the Tokyo Dome	It was announced on January 23 that KAT-TUN would hold seven consecutive concerts at Tokyo Dome, Japan's largest and most prestigious arena, making KAT-TUN the first artists in history to do so. However, by the end of March, due to the large number of pre-reserved tickets, KAT-TUN's record breaking concert added extra tour dates. KAT-TUN's 2009 concert scheduled eight consecutive days in Tokyo Dome from May 15 to the 22, three days in Osaka from May 29 to the 31, and two more days in Tokyo Dome

05/29/2011	2011 Tour Cancellation	KAT-TUN's 2011 tour is cancelled. The Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture Higashiougishima Higashi park had been planned as a venue, but has been designated as disaster emergency shelter, so as to keep safety a priority, the concerts were cancelled. The quake also caused fires. Fireworks at the conerts would be difficult if considering the emotions of the victims.The October "5 dome tour" that was scheduled was also cancelled. The opening of the baseball season was delayed due to the Earthquake.
