His space suit became inflated and so he had to let out some air to get back in. He barely made it back.

Apollo 8_tiny 12/21/1968 Apollo 8 Apollo 8 was the first manned spacecraft to orbit the moon. The three men in the crew were Frank Borman, James Lovell, and William Anders. It took them 20 hours to make 10 orbits around the moon. Also during their trip to the moon, it was during Christmas. On Christmas Eve, they read the first 10 verses of Genesis while broadcasting. So, they got sued by Madalyn Murray O'hair.

Apollo 17_tiny 12/19/1972 Return of Apollo 17 It was the most recent trip to the moon made by the United States. There has not been any moon landings since.
