Imagescan82j7k_tiny 10/27/1755 French and Indian War The French and Indian War started when the British began to fight with the French. It lasted 7 years and ended with them signing a treaty.
Imagesca51azru_tiny 10/27/1763 Proclamation of 1763 King George III drew a line along the Appalachian Mountains telling the settlers to stay to the east and the native americans to stay to the west. Colonists called King George a tyrant after this.

The patriots began "No Taxation Without Representation."
Image7_34_tiny 10/31/1765 Quartering act The Quartering Act orderd colonists to shelter troops and provide the soliders with supplies. Colonists thought it was unfair and were getting more angry at England.
Imagescajg622h_tiny 10/27/1767 The Townshend Ats The Townshed Acts were the taxation of glass, paint, paper and tea proposed by Townshend. Theywere made to punish the colonists. Colonists fought back with Boycotts saying it was unjust.

They started it because of the Townshend Acts and only 5 colonists were killed after harassing the soliders. Colonists across the colonies were outraged knowing only it was called a massacre and not that only 5 were killed.
Imagescashhm18_tiny 10/28/1773 The Boston Tea Party The Boston Tea Party was an event in history where the colonists dressed as Native Americans and threw the tea overboard. They did this because they did not like all of the taxing so when they taxed the tea they fought back.
Teaact_tiny 10/31/1773 Te Act Lord North attempted to unfairly tax the Americans, thinking they wouldn't notice it if the tea was cheap. Colonists boycotted the tea act saying it was unfair to be taxed without their opinion; "No Taxation Without Representation."

Imagescatngged_tiny 10/28/1774 The Intolerable Acts King George wanted to punish them. First he closed the harbor, then he took over the government in Boston after that he sent more troops. Colonists were outraged claiming that this was unfair and that King George was a tyrant. Soon after began the Revolutionary War.
