The french and the indian war_tiny 10/27/1755 French and Indian War This was a war between the French and Native Americans against the British. Britain won the war and gained land such as Canada and Louisiana. Britian became the largest and most powerful empire.
Proclamation1763_tiny 10/27/1763 Proclamation of 1763 This was issued after the French and Indian War. Problems between the Colonists and Native Americans arose over land. King George the third wanted to stop the violence between them.So, an imaginary line was drawn down the crest of the Appalachian Mts, in that the Colonists must stay on the east and the Native Americans on the west.
Stampact_tiny 10/27/1765 Stamp Act There was a huge debt from the French and Indian War. Goerge Greenville issued a tax to gain more money from the colonists. Colonists were required to buy stamps for each peice of paper they used. Sons of Liberty were upset and began attacking tax collectors and torturing them. Later, this act was repealed.
The quartering act_tiny 10/27/1765 Quartering Act Colonists were required to provide their homes and goods for British soldiers. The cost was just as much money to provide for soldiers than pay taxes.
Townshend acts_tiny 10/27/1767 Townshend Acts Was an act where it led to a repeal of the acts except for tea. Charles Townshend believed that the British troops should stay in America. He passed a law saying that was a tax on goods such as glass, paint, paper, and tea. Samuel Adams led a boycott on these goods and led many protests.
Quatering_tiny 10/27/1770 Boston Massacre Boston patriots were the most rebellious in the colonies. British troops were sent to the colonies to keep control and colonists responded by calling the lobsterbacks. At the Boston Customs House a British soldier was knocked over and panic acrose and troops opened fire.

Imagescajgwip1_tiny 10/27/1773 Boston Tea Party In protest of the Tea Act, the Sons of Liberty dressed as Mohawk Indians and boarded 3 ships in the Boston Harbor. They continued to throw chests (90,000 lbs) into the Boston Harbor.
Columbus_tiny 10/27/1774 First Continetal Congress Was when strong patriots spoke out against the king such as Patrick Henry. They sent a message to the king about their compliants and to consider their rights.
Conquistador_tiny 10/27/1774 Intolerable(Coercive) Acts Lord North wanted to punish Boston for their actions in the Tea Party. The first act closed the Boston Harbor for shipping. The second act placed the government of MA under British control. And finally, the third act said that the British soldiers that were charged for murder would be tried in Britian, not in the colonies. These acts united the colonists against the King instead of giving in.
