01/10/2001	Great Great-grandmother's Death	Location: Librado Rivera, Dgo, Mexico Date: Early January 2001 Event: My great-grandmother passed away. She was mother of the father of my father (my paternal great-grandmother).
08/17/2001	My Mother's Life Change	Location: Corn fields near small town Date: Middle of August 2001 Time: midday Event: My mother got bitten by a rattlesnake and almost lost her life.
07/15/2003	Arrival to the United States	Date: Middle of July 2003 Time: Around 2 day trip Departure: Durango, Mexico Arrival: Denver, CO Event: Me and my family arrived to the United States for the first time and we established in Denver, CO.
08/18/2005	Welcome to Elementary School	Date: August 18, 2005 Time: Morning Event: My first time to go to Elementary school in the U.S. i started in 5th grade and my younger brother in 1st grade. Comment: It ws really hard for me to get usd to all the new kind of kids, games, language, and living style. My little brother cried for the first two weeks.
08/08/2007	Welcome to Middle School	Date: August 8, 2007 Time: Morning Event: I started 6th grade in a strict school were English was spoken even though students were bilingual. I understood zero English. Comment: I fund it very difficult because I didn't knew English, had not a single friend, my teachers only knew English, I didn't knew basic math or any other subject.
11/19/2007	New Language In My Life	I started learning English in the middle of November. I was still a very shy person and still had difficulty at school.
05/24/2008	STRIVE Award Winner	I won the STRIVE Award in West Denver Prep for being the highest stuents of the whole 6th grade. Comment: There was a tie between me and a girl, so we both got the award. I was very happy that year and i started to take study more seriously.
10/11/2008	Great Aunt's Death	Event: My great aunt form my father's side died in Durango, Mexico in the early times of October 2008. Comments: That year was not an easy year from me, I didn't make many friends, lost family members, and I fell under depression.
03/25/2009	Great-grandfather's Death	Event: My great-grandfather from my mother's side died from diabetes. he was the father of my mother's mom. Comments: I miss him a lot because he was very fun and played with me and the rest of his grandsons.
05/24/2010	Middle School Graduation	Event: I graduated from my middle school, West Denver Prep, and said good bye to friends and teachers. i was ready to become a freshman at high school. Comments: i miss my middle school, so i go and visit whenever I can.
08/18/2010	Welcome to High School	Event: I became a freshman at CEC Middle College of Denver and make new friendships with other students and met new teachers. Comments; I enjoyed freshman year and I like the friends I made.
08/18/2011	Welcome to Sophomore Year	Event: I became a sophomore at CEC Middle College of Denver and I am really happy to know new people and teachers. I am studying Business Managment and Law. Comment: I hope this year treats me well and to have good grades; learn as much as possible.
