08/23/1992	Mark's first rock climb.	Mark goes on his first rock climb with, Christian encouraged Mark to do this while he was at camp.
11/05/1993	He goes on his first long hike with Frank	He goes on a long hike with Frank Madeira, a music conducter.
12/15/1993	Gets sponsors for climbing	He starts getting sponsors for climbing.
01/24/1994	His first ice climb	He gets enough sponser to go climb his first ice climb.
03/02/1994	Mark's first trip to Nepal	He goes to Nepal to climb mountains.
07/02/1994	He goes to Nepal and climbs his highest peak	He climbs up to 22,205 feet. From July through August.
07/11/1994	Mark attends the NOLS program	He goes to the NOLS program that teaches you how to survive on your own.
10/01/1994	He starts training	He does workouts and runs up the hospital stairs.
01/06/1995	He goes to Ecuador	He learns you don't always summit. January through Feburary.
01/20/1995	Meets Thor	More training for Everest.
03/09/1995	Mark's first attempt at Everest	He doesn't make it because he fractures his rib.
05/11/1996	Mark's second attempt at Everest	There was a bad storm and he found out that his dad's ear infection turned into cancer.
11/22/1996	Mark finds out his dad has cancer in the brain too.	He got the cancer out of his ear but it spread to his brain.
