04/01/1976	Apple was Founded	Apple's Website Apple was founded in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Woznaik, and Ronald Wayne. They sold the Apple 1 personal computer kit. It had no keyboard, and was priced at $2572 in today's money. The kit shown has had a case and keyboard added to it.
01/01/1984	Macintosh	In 1984, Apple released the Macintosh. The first commercial for it aired during Superbowl XVIII. However the competition between different sections of Apple led to Steve Jobs leaving the corperation, and found NeXT Inc.
08/15/1998	The iMac	iMac informationOn this date, Apple introduced it's popular iMac, the design of which was lead by Jonathan Ive. It sold 800,000 units in its first five months.
05/19/2001	Apple Stores	On this date, Apple first opened retail stores in Virginia and California. It allow consumers to test out their products without buying them.
10/23/2001	iPod	On this date, Apple announced its popular iPod, Over 100,000,000 units were sold in six years. It started to sell on November 10.
01/09/2003	iTunes	iTunes informationApple introduced iTunes, which was integrated with the iPod, and started out selling songs for $0.99.
06/06/2006	Intel	Intel's HomepageOn this date Steve Jobs announced that Apple would be incorperating Intel into their Macs. The new Macbook Pro and iMac were the first to use Intel's Core Duo CPU.
01/09/2007	iPhone	The iPhne was Apple's first successful touch screen device, beating the Newton. Many ideas from the iPhone were transferred to the iPad.
07/10/2008	App Store	Apple created the App store for its iPod touch, iPhone, and the eventual iPad. For roughly $0.99, apps range from games.to business, to books and health.
07/01/2011	Golden Apple	For a short time in this month, Apple's financial reserves were greater than the U.S. Government's. This was due to the debt ceiling crisis. This fact is just stunning, and maybe not in a good way.
10/04/2011	iPhone 4s	Apple announces the iPhone 4s , which would include an "intelligent software assistant" named Siri.
10/05/2011	Jobs Dies	Steve Jobs InfoA day after the iPhone 4s was announced, Apple announced that Steve Jobs had died. Jobs was 56, and was born on February 24, 1955.
01/27/2012	iPad	Apple announced the iPad, which sold half a million on its first week in the U.S. It measures 9.7 inches diagonally, is now available in black and white, and can store up to 64 gigabits.
02/09/2012	Steve Jobs Resigns	Steve Jobs resigns as CEO of Apple to "focus on his health." This ended his 35 years working at Apple.
06/12/2012	iCloud	Apple released iCloud, which wirelessly stores data on the internet. It could replace the sync cord with wireless technology. iOS products can automatically sync.

However, after trying to expand into other products such as cameras, speakers and T.V. appliances, Apple consumers became upset, and Apple's stock prices and market shares began to fall.During this time, Jobs rejoined Apple.
