10/27/1767 | Townshend Acts | Charles Townshed believed that the British troops should stay in America. Samuel Adams led a boycott on these goods and led many protests. |

10/27/1770 | Boston Massacre | Boston patriots were the most rebellious in the colonies. 5 men killed including Crispus attucks the first to die. |

10/27/1773 | Tea Act | Lord North attempted to rescue the British East India Company that controlled trade. So he place a tax on tea which once again upset the colonists. |

10/27/1773 | Boston Tea Party | In protest of the Tea Act, the Sons of Liberty dressed as Mohawk Indians and boarded 3 ships in the Boston Harbor. They continued to throw 342 chests (90,000lbs) into the Boston Harbor. |

10/28/1774 | Intolerable (Coercive) Acts | Lord North wanted to punish Boston for their actions in the Tea Party. These acts united the colonists against the King instead of giving in. |

10/28/1774 | First Continental Congress | 50 leaders from 12 colonies met in Philadelphia. They sent a message to the king about their complaints and to consider their rights. |
