10/28/1765 | Quartering Act | Was a law passed by the Parliament which stated colonists had to provide the British soldiers with home, and furnish them with candles, firing, bedding, cooking utensils, salt, vinegar, and beer or sider. New York didn't provide fundingfor slat, vinegar, or ligour and British government wouldn't let their assembly meet. All around the Atlantic coast colonist began to get angry. |

10/31/1767 | The Townshend Acts | Charles Townshend believed teh colonists had bad behavior therefore, he wanted the army to stay in America. The colonists payed for the army by having taxes on glass, paint paper and ttea. This caused the colonists to become very unhappy. |

03/05/1768 | Boston Massacre | A Patriot Mob attacked the British, The British killed 5 men, colonists threw rocks, snowballs and sticks. Cause the Royal governor to evactuate the occupying red coats from the town of Boston. |

05/10/1773 | Tea Act | An act that was suposed to help the East India Company, colonistds still had to take care of the soldierss, so they turneed the tea ships away, to let them rot. Because the ships were left torrot in the docks, crewmen went into the towns, looking for work, this led to the Boston Tea Party. |

09/29/1773 | Boston Tea Party | the British taxed the colonists on tea, and angry colonists dressed as indians boarded their ships, and through all the tea into the Harbor. This event cause more protest against the British, causing the colonists to get angrier |

02/16/1774 | Intolerbale Acts | When Lord North heard of the Boston TEa PArty, he thought the colonists had gone too far, so Britains anger caqused parlament to pass new laws. The colonists considered the acts to be intolerable, because they were very harsh. |

09/01/1774 | First Contenintal Congress | From 12 colonies, 50 leaders met in Philadelphia, snd sent a respectful letter to King George, about him to concider for him to consider their complaints. The colonists planned to boycott the British, and if it did not work, they would meet with the king in may. |
