  • I was born

    On August 28, 1997 I was born. I was born in Garfield Hospital. My mom gave birth to me at around 7:00 pm.
  • I got my name

    On August 31, 1997, my mom and dad chose the name Hillary for me. They also gave me my chinese name: fan an yen, on the same day.
  • Hurricane George

    Hurricane George
    Hurricane Georges was a destructive category 4 hurricane. Georfeswas the 7th tropical storm, 4th hurricane, and 2nd major hurricane of the 1998 Atlantic hurricane seaaon. Georges killed 604 people, and destroyed $6 billion worth of property. The hurricane landed in at least 7 countries: Antigua, Barbuda, St. Kits, St. Nevis, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Cuba, U.S., and Puerto Rico. It dissapated on October 1, 1998.

  • My second birthday

    My second birthday
    On August 28, 1998, my dad bought a humongous cake for me to celebrate my second birthday. I had a little party with just my cousins (who were a little older than me) and my parents. They all brought presents for me and I had a lot of fun.   • 2001 Gujarat earthquake

    2001 Gujarat earthquake
    The 2001 Gujarat earthquake occurred on January 26, 2001, India's 51st Republic Day. The epicentre was Chobari Village in Bhachau Taluka of Kutch District of Gujarat, India. With a magnitude of between 7.6 and 8.1 on the Richter scale, the quake killed around 20,000 people, injured another 167,000 and destroyed nearly 400,000 homes.   • Twin Towers fall

    Twin Towers fall
    On Tuesday, September 11, 2001 at 8:46 am to 10:28 am, 19 al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners.The hijackers intentionally crashed two of the airliners into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, killing everyone on board and many others working in the buildings.   • My younger sister was born

    On March 29, 2002, Kimberley, my younger sister, was born. She was born in Garfield Hospital, like me. She was born around 6:00 pm.
  • I learned how to ski and snowboard

    When I was 5 years old, my mom took me to Big Bear to try skiing and snowboarding. I took beginner classes and learned to ski and snowboard in a few days.
  • I learn piano

    I learn piano
    On July 17, 2003, my mom brought me to a piano teacher that was said to be one of the best teachers around that put prioritized her students before money. I really enjoyed the classes and i learned all the basics iin just three weeks. Even now, I still enjoy piano.

  • Vocaloids were created

    Vocaloids were created
    Vocaloid is a singing synthesizer application first developed at the Pompeu Fabra University in Spain and backed financially by the Yamaha Corporation. The software enables users to synthesize singing by typing in lyrics and melody. It uses synthesizing technology with specially recorded vocals of voice actors or singers. To create a song, the user must input the melody and lyrics.

    Hurricane Katrina
    Hurricane Katrina of the 2005 Atlantic hurricane season was one of the most deadliest hurricanes. It was the sixth strongest hurricane in the Atlantic hurricane records. At least 1,836 people lost their lives in the disaster. The total property damage was about $81 billion. It hit Bahamas on 8/23 and on 8/29 it devastated New Orleans. Hurricane Katrina ended on 8/30.

    The 2005 Kashmir Earthquake was a major earthquake centered in Pakistan-administered Kashmir known as Azad Kashmir, near the city of Muzaffarabad. It occurred on October 8, 2005. It registered a moment magnitude of 7.6. As of November 8, the government of Pakistan's official death toll was 75,000. The earthquake also affected countries in the surrounding region.   • I started to go to chinese school

    On May 11, 2006, my mom brought me to a school called Ha Gang Zhong Wen Xue Xiao. It taught simplified and traditional chinese. At first, I did not want to learn chinese. However, after a few weeks, I started to look forward to meeting my friends at chinese school.

    The iPod Touch is a portable media player, personal digital assistant, and Wi-Fi mobile platform designed and marketed by Apple Inc. The product was launched on September 5, 2007. The iPod Touch adds the multi-touch graphical user interface to the iPod line.     On November 26, 2007 I started learning how to play piano at i music. Natalie recommended the class for me. So, my mom brought me to i music to learn how to play violin. I thought it was going to be very easy to learn and play, however, it was harder than I expected. I like to play violin sometimes when I have nothing to do.

    I went to Japan
    My mom brought me to Japan for a vacation during summer vacation. The flight was a long ride and I felt really sick. However, Japan was a very pleasant place to spend my vacation. It was quite fun taking pictures, trying sushi, and going to the outdoor bath (onsen in japanese).

    On November 4, 2008, Obama Barack was elected as the 44th president of United States. Obama Barack was 47 when he was elected. He was elected after he made his victory speech in Chicago. His opponent, McCain was defeated.

    The 2010 Haiti earthquake had a magnitude of 7.0 Mw, with an epicentre near the town of Léogâne, approximately 16 miles west of Port-au-Prince. The earthquake was on Tuesday, 12 January 2010. By 24 January, at least 52 aftershocks measuring 4.5 or greater had been recorded. An estimated three million people were affected by the quake; the Haitian government reported that an estimated 230,000 people had died.

    Apple iPad is a tablet computer designed and developed by Apple. Apple released the iPad in April 1, 2010, and sold 3 million of the devices in 80 days.

  • Miners trapped in Chilean mine finally free!

    After the Chilean mine collapsed on August 5, rescuers came to find survivors of the 33 miners that were working at the San Jose mine at the time that the mine collapsed. Luckily, all 33 miners were safe under all the rubbish from the collapsed mine. On August 22, 2010, after 17 days spent under the collapsed cave in darkness, the miners were finally rescued one by one. Fortunately everyone was unharmed except for some lung problems due to breathing to much of the bad air in the cave,
  • Playstation 4

    The PlayStation 4 or PS4 will be the eighth generation video game console developed by Sony. The console will be the successor to the PlayStation 3 and it will be twice as powerful with similar size to the Wii. Sony desires to put the PS4 on the market by 2011, although 2010 is halfway finished and no announcement has been made.The concept art of the PlayStation 4 has been produced by a designer, Tai Chiem.

    The 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake was an undersea earthquake that occurred on December 26, 2004, with an epicentre off the west coast of Sumatra. The earthquake was caused by subduction and triggered a series of tsunamis along the coasts of landmasses bordering the Indian Ocean, killing over 230,000 people in fourteen countries. With a magnitude of 9.3, it is the third largest earthquake recorded on a seismograph.
