Nat turners rebellion | Nat turner launched an attack and killed fifty-seven white people. The militia arrived and killed him and 100 black slaves. Since Nat did this black slaves weren’t allowed to go to church and have education. | |

Fugitive Slave Act | People in Texas, Utah, and New Mexico were allowed to catch runaway slaves and return them to their owner for a bounty. This Act made it much harder to get to Canada and be free. | |

Two of his sons died he was also hanged on December 2, 1859 | |
