11/20/2007 Government claims Coyners took bribe "On Nov. 20, 2007, at approximately 3:15 p.m., Conyers met with an individual sent by Rayford Jackson in the parking lot at Butzel Family Center and received an envelope containing cash."
Sept2007_tiny 11/28/2007 Coyners changes her vote on Synagro Coyners changes her position, casts the deciding vote on a $1.2 billion sludge-hauling contract for Synagro Technologies Inc. of Texas.
12/04/2007 Government claims Coyners took second bribe On Dec. 4, 2007, at approximately 2:30 p.m., an individual sent by Rayford Jackson met Conyers and her aide in a McDonald’s parking lot in Detroit at which time the individual delivered an envelope containing cash.

10/10/2008 Coyners' aide gets $90,000 settlement from city. Detroit City Council OKs a $90,000 settlement to end a lawsuit from Yakima Washington, a former aide whose suit would have alleged she was fired for refusing to run errands for Conyers.
11/11/2008 Conyers takes security detail to Orlando Conyers draws heat for taking two police officers to Orlando for National League of Cities conference as security guards. Her spokeswoman's response: "She is next in line to be mayor. She absolutely needs that security."
01/22/2009 Conyers repays part of travel advances. Repays $3,000 in travel advances to the pension board, which claims she owed $5,600. Conyers says, "My job is to serve the people of Detroit, and that's what I do."

As Collins complains that suburbanites have called the City Council "racist" and "stupid," Conyers keeps repeating "monkeys" until Collins utters the word. It becomes another YouTube sensation.
April2009_a_tiny 04/02/2009 Conyers vs. Sheila Cockrel Conyers gets into a closed-door argument with Councilwoman Sheila Cockrel, telling her to "shut the (expletive) up" and asking if she "needs a man." The incident prompts colleagues to draft a resolution for censure and inquire about her well-being.
