01/01/1765 Stamp act The stamp act was imposed on the colonists by the British government in 1765.The stamp act was a tax imposed by the british parliament on the colonies of british America. The stamp act was made to make the colonists pay a tax on printed things like legal documents, magazines, and newspapers.
03/11/1765 Quatering act The Quatering act of 1765 is the name of two of the acts of parliament of great britain during the 18th century. The Quatering acts were used by the British forces in the American colonies to make sure that British soldiers had the right housing and provisions.
03/05/1770 Boston Massacre The Boston Massacre was an incident that led to the deaths of 5 innocent people at the hands of britsih troops. The Boston Massacre was a legal aftermath which helped spark the rebellion in some of the british colonies.

Officials in boston refused to return 3 shiploads of tea to britain so a group of colonists boarded the ships and destroyed the tea by throwing it into the Boston Harbor.
03/11/1776 Townshend Act The Townshend act was a series of acts passed in 1776 by the Parliament of great britain relating to the british cololnies. The Townshend Act happened to raise revenue in the colonies to pay the salaries of govenors and judges so that they would be independent of the colonail control.
