01/01/1700 | England arives in present-day Indiana | The British were exploring and trading with the American Indians by the 1700s |

01/01/1747 | Miami in Pickawillany | An American Indian named Cheif La Demoiselle Left Kekionga and set up a new village named Pickawillany. The Miami tribe settled in Pickawillany. |
|
01/01/1754 | French and Indian War | In 1754 war broke out between the French and the British. The war lasted nine years. |
|
01/01/1763 | The War Ends | The British and French signed a treaty called the Peace of Paris. A Native American named Pontiac led a rebellion against the British. A proclamation in 1763 closed land west of the Apillation Mountains. |
